Secrets from an MP's past

This month Blackland released its triennial study into the academic and working backgrounds of current Members of Parliament.  We collate information covering their high school, tertiary and post-graduate studies, and all their work experience.

The big news was made with findings such as the high percentage of MPs who had attended private schools (35%), the fall in the number of teachers (20 to 6) and rise in the number of farming backgrounds (7 to 18), tripling of the number of media people in Parliament over five elections (to 15%), and domination of managers, analysts, and lawyers. You can read our full report here.

Behind the publicly released top line results are spreadsheets of data that help Blackland make better predictions for our clients about MP interest and opinions on their issues.
